This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree
- Current California Nurse Practitioner License
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
- Furnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)
- DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)
- Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)
- Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Service
- Successfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area
- Experience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner
- Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills
- Bilingual
The expected hiring range for this position is $67.58 to $92.93
Children’s Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable. We demonstrate this commitment by conducting regular market reviews to remain competitive with organizations of similar size in the healthcare sector. The range listed above does not represent the full salary range for the position but is the expected hiring range for qualified candidates. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors including experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
